Our Services: Nuclear Medicine
Nuclear Medicine is a branch of medicine that uses small amounts of radioactive material to diagnose, determine the severity and treat a variety of diseases. These include many types of cancers, heart disease, gastrointestinal, endocrine, neurological disorders and other abnormalities within the body.
The Nuclear Medicine unit is a subunit of the National Radiotherapy, Oncology and Nuclear Medicine Centre at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital. It is the only one of its kind offering imaging and treatment services to all patients within Ghana and some West African countries.
